HB0601, Ch. 557 - Montgomery County - Stop Sign Monitoring Systems Pilot Program - Gaithersburg and Rockville
- Effective July 1, 2026 (through June 30, 2029), authorizes the use of stop sign monitoring systems in school zones within the City of Gaithersburg and the City of Rockville.
SB0877, Ch. 569 - Baltimore City - Stop Sign Monitoring Systems Pilot Program - 41st Legislative District
- Effective July 1, 2026 (through June 30, 2029), authorizes the use of stop sign monitoring systems within the 41st Legislative District school zones, in Baltimore City.
- The provisions for civil penalty collection and the distribution of fines are provided under § 7-302 of the Courts Article.
HB0601, Ch. 557 and SB0877, Ch. 569 maintain the current provisions of the stop sign monitoring pilot program under TA § 21-707.1, only expanding to include new locations. The disposition docket has been revised to reflect the new locations, effective July 1, 2026.
