The District Court hears landlord/tenant cases, replevin actions, traffic violations, criminal cases classified as misdemeanors and certain felonies, and civil cases in the amount of $30,000 or less. The District Court does not conduct jury trials.

The courthouse is located at 1400 E. North Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21213-1407. For assistance with special needs, contact the court immediately.

I-695 
Take I-695 to 83 South (Jones Falls Expressway). Exit left on North Ave. Proceed east on North Ave. Court is located on left side, at intersection of North Ave. & Harford Rd.

I-95
Take I-95 to exit 53. Take Martin Luther King. Make left turn onto Howard St. Make right turn onto North Ave.

Downtown Baltimore
Calvert Street proceeding North to North Avenue, make a right on North Ave (you'll be going east) and stay on North Ave until you get to Bond Street. Make a left onto Bond St., which leads you to the parking lot for the court. Make a left at the top of the hill, where a security guard will assist you with parking. If you wish not to park on the lot, there is street parking.

Charles Street, use same directions for Calvert Street
If you miss the 2 streets above, proceed to Gay Street and make a left. Stay in your middle lane. You will follow the street, Gay St. (which will turn into Ensor, which turns into Harford Rd). Stay on Harford Rd. until you get to North Ave, make a right turn on North Ave, make a left onto Bond St., proceed up hill, make a left, and a bailiff will show you where to park.
