Yes. Aira is NOT available for use inside a Maryland courtroom, unless the judge specifically authorizes its use.

The Maryland Judiciary covers the cost of Aira use in approved locations for up to 30 minutes per location per person per day.

Is use of Aira secure?

Yes. Your Aira session is not recorded and no record of the engagement is retained by Aira or the courts. Aira agents pass a background check and sign a non-disclosure agreement that requires them to maintain confidentiality about their engagement with each user, and go through extensive training on orientation and mobility.
